Summer is here in the burg. Record breaking temperatures won't stop the Three Rivers Art Festival from happening at various points in the city. The Art Festival starts summer out for Pittsburghers and world wide artists. It is that time of year in the Burg. Hot! Hot! Hot! City Theatre Tradition:Sister’s Christmas Catechism
Pittsburgh has a lot of entertainment to offer and City Theatre provides its share. The City Theatre is located at 1300 Bingham and 13Th Streets, on Pittsburgh’s South Side.
During the Christmas season try a different kind of Christmas play.
The City theatre will feature a special engagement of Sister’s Christmas Catechism: The Mystery of the Magi’s Gold runs on from December 4–30, 2007.
For the third year, Kimberly Richards will star as “Sister” on a bright and festive set by City Theatre’s Director of Production and Resident Scenic Designer Tony Ferrieri.
The hugely popular Catechism series includes Late Nite Catechism, Late Nite Catechism II: Sometimes We Feel Guilty Because We Are Guilty, and Sister’s Christmas Catechism: the Mystery of the Magi’s Gold. In all three shows the theatre becomes a catechism class taught by “Sister.” The audience members are her students, who are either disciplined or rewarded based on their behavior. Using improvisation and audience interaction, the productions are an unusual and entertaining mix of nostalgia, comedy and Catholic dogma.
This play is entertaining and unusual not your everyday Christmas play. You might even get chosen to interact with Sister as she entertains you.

Take A Day Trip to Fallingwater

The interior of Fallingwater remains true to Frank Lloyd Wright's vision as well, including cantilevered desks, earth-toned built-in sofas, polished stone floors, and large casement windows which allow the outdoors to pour in. The hearth of the soaring stone fireplace is actually a boulder on the hill, supposedly Mr. Kaufmann's favorite sunning spot before Fallingwater was built - the house was literally built around it. From the Great Room a set of stairs enables you to walk down and stand on a tiny platform in the middle of the stream. Fallingwater makes a great day trip especially in the fall. Enjoy the beauty of the foliage as you travel about 90 miles .

Halloween In Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh and the surrounding area are full of haunted houses and activities for Halloween.
Terrors By The Lake has been entertaining Pittsburghers for ten years,Kenny wood Park turns into Phantom Fright Nights for Halloween,here is a great list of Pittsburgh haunted houses.
.Pittsburgh is full of great haunted houses and Halloween activities. Tomorrow is October 1, and I need to plan my schedule so I can see most of these great Haunted houses.
My one issue is snakes, I have been to a few that have had live snakes, I always ask before I enter now. i can't stand snakes, freaks me out. Give em a good old headless man or a vampire any day.
